After getting burned out teaching high school in a tiny Alaskan town, I have moved on to being a child advocate in a small Alaskan town. The struggles are similar, but now I can buy milk at the store.
And I am!! We kept trying to think of good ones to pull on the kids, but couldn't come up with anything that would be construed as "funny" by the administration. One girl started crying in the hallway, and confided in me that she's pregnant. She's been sick in the stomach for a couple days now, so I was more prone to believe her. Luckily, one of the aids at the school called her on it before I fully had time to process. Sheesh, kids.
I knew you'd be a sucker for April Fools Day!!
